Purl Soho Bandana Cowl

by tolmema on February 19, 2015

I recently finished a Bandana Cowl for a Valentine’s Day gift exchange at my LYS. Ravelry notes can be found here.

The cowl is made from Malabrigo Indiecita on size 6.0mm needles.

I double-stranded the yarn to get the correct gauge and it turned out too big the first time, so I reduced the original stitch count by 10 which worked out much better.

This thing was a bitch to block, though – it stretched to literally the size of a dress! I was freaking out, and made the snap decision to throw it in the dryer to see if it would shrink up a bit. Thankfully, it did (thankfully it’s a superwash merino!).

Nice and warm, super cozy, and smells like Eucalan Wrapture.

What did you do/make for Valentine’s Day?
